Crystal handmade bracelet - Heart-in-Heart - Reborn!
Compare this version of the Heart-in-Heart bracelet with the Heart-in-Heart bracelet I did last year… This is how it is supposed to be!
Finally got the Swarovski crystal bracelet re-done, and this time I did it correctly! This handmade crystal bracelet sure looks nice now, haha!
While Steve from Beading.com.my left a comment in that blog post last September (that was half a year ago! :P), explaining why my Swarovski crystal bracelet didn’t appear the way it should be, I didn’t actually get what he meant by “You should “Cross” both left and right string with the seed bead (not passing through the seed bead in same direction).”
Well, perhaps the excuse I can give is that I didn’t have any sense about beading back then, haha! The pictorial instruction given was surely as clear as Swarovski crystals. It’s M-E!:P
M-E didn’t study the picture carefully, and being unfamiliar with beading craft, M-E didn’t realize that I should string the bead this way: one thread passing through the bead from the left hole to the right, and the other from the right to the left, thus CROSSING each other. All I did was passing both threads through the beads from the top hole to bottom hole.
Got it? It’s how I place the beads. The holes should be on a horizontal line, and not vertical… ah, I know this is confusing, right? Haha!
Thanks to the bead craft projects I did few weeks ago, I could finally make some sense about beading — there’s a lot of criss-crossing of threads, and it involves stringing the same beads twice. I took out the printed instruction, studied it for just a few seconds, and ‘bling!’, a sense of enlighthenment hit me… haha… I understood the instruction and what Steve was trying to tell me, and thus, this handmade Swarovski crystal bracelet REBORN!
