Handmade pearl bracelet - Moon River
Just like the reflection of the moon in a continuously flowing stream, shining and dazzling in the night…
This handmade pearl bracelet is made with high quality imitation white pearls, and metal caps and spacers bought through eBay. Glass beads were bought from Jaya Jusco, but don’t think I will buy beads from JJ again coz beads and other jewelry making supplies are overly priced there.
It’s easy to make — just string the beads and spacers in the preferred sequence, and finish off with a hook on one end and extender chain on the other. I used 0.3 mm non-stretchable nylon thread, which is rather fine for big pearls and beads. So I string with double thread.
When I first started learning about handmade jewelry, my main problem is figuring how to keep the two ends of a bracelet or necklace (i.e. the threads) tied up securely in a knot, as nylon threads or fishing lines don’t seem to hold on tight in a knot when compared to sewing threads.
Now I know, there is one technique to finish off a bracelet clean and securely without making many knots. Hmmm, may be later I will make a post about how to do it - just like what I did for this handmade pearl bracelet.

I like your bracelet.. It is sooo elegant .. I especially like your idea for finishing off.. I like the idea of not too many knots..I am not too good at hiding the threads..
