Peyote Stitch Bracelet
Peyote is a classic stitch and is widely used. It is a technique originated by Native Americans of the Southwest United States. They used it to adorn objects used in religious ceremonies as well as everyday life. We will be learning the basic stitch and create a beautiful bracelet with a Swarovski Button closure. www.auntiesbeads.com

I’ve tried making this three times now and it just won’t lay flat. Why does it keep turning slightly in the middle of it? I’ve taken it apart again and will try one more time to do it again. *sigh* Hey Karla?! How about a video where you don’t get it right too and then show us how to fix it??? That would really help. I got the odd count peyote stitch, no problem, the first time, but this even one’s driving me crazy!!! HELP!!!

i enjoyed this one especially. i’ve just started getting into the peyote and stitching. i have some trouble with properly ended the threads, but this spelled it out perfect for me. nonw i want to try the odd count and see how i do… do you have any instructionals for bead looms?

Does this bracelet have empty spaces to fill up to the end or does it become even after the the 4th row (as shown in your video) and all that is to be done is to pass the thread through each bead until the desired length is achieved. Thanks for your kind response.

Rather confusing after the 3rd row. Does the thread have to be passed through each bead until the endas there are no more gaps to be filled in. Thanks. Rihana

Not sure if I like those colors together, but I like the bracelet!
Thanks!

Are your beads exactly the same size? If their not identical in size, that could be your problem. You did say that you made a flat odd count. If it’s not the bead size, I don’t know what it could be.

What brand of 6/0 seeds did you use that are so uniform? I have Japanese Dyna-Mites and Czech seeds but even after culling I would not be able to have such perfectly similar sized beads. Thanks.

Good tutorial as always but I am a bit confused with the adding of thread. Karla, I didn’t see you put a new thred in.
I am about to make a similar bracelet using size 11 beads but I need clarification please.
