Updating my projects - antique-style earrings with clay rose
It’s time for an update! With photos, of course!
But I’m so tired now. Uploading photos to my laptop and having them cropped/edited, that’s a lot of work!
And now I’m in the midst of uploading the photos to an image hosting site, so that they won’t cramp up the server this blog is sitting on. So, give me 10 minutes and I shall come back to continue this post…
Back!
Okay, I changed my mind. I won’t show all photos in this one single post. I’ll have the projects posted individually for easy reading (so you don’t have to keep scrolling down).
So, for the first project - a pair of antique style earrings made from pink-purplish clay roses, oval-shaped glass beads and butterfly filigree. The clay flowers and glass beads were bought locally, but the antique copper-colored butterfly filigree was bought by my sister in a London bead shop.

Look pretty and sweet, isn’t it?
There is a problem though. The hole in the clay rose where the pin passes through is quite big, such that the rose can easily spin around the pin, and ends up facing backward when one wears it. It will be troublesome to keep on adjusting the flower to make sure it faces the front. Am still thinking of how to solve this problem with the easiest solution.
Any tips and tricks from those who have encountered this problem before?
